How to convert goods and illegal means in social perspectives
Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Faculty of Education , Corso D'Augusto 237 Rimini
Here is a short introduction on the topic will be addressed during the Conference:
The evolution of the history of the Italian Welfare and the recent economic crisis has led governments to invest less in fill this void, leaving the social by the Third Sector. Through the principle of subsidiarity introduced Law 328/2000, associations, cooperatives, foundations and volunteers fielded forces increasingly becoming subject to an early social development. At this momentum over the years, has not been equally matched by a parallel investment of resources that the economic crisis of 2008 has put further emphasis. As we note today that the various third sector have difficulty in ensuring that social welfare that the population of the state requires. How is it then possible to revive and reinvent a speech that points to the common good?
One of the possible ways forward can be found in the conversion of goods and funds from one part of society and economy in illegal useful resources for a social purpose. The example of this movement has already begun with the commitment and understanding of several subjects of the Third Sector in giving concrete application to the Law 109 of 1996. The law, fruit of the great effort "Freedom", concerns the use of social goods confiscated from organized crime and represented a real watershed in the context of positive action against the mafias and in favor of a ransom of socio-economic territories. The presence of these assets is certainly more massive in the territories of southern Italy and Sicily, Campania and Calabria, but if we go by the illusion that the gangs are only a problem in some areas, we find that even in areas Northern Italy live this bulky presence. In the lead are the Lombardia region on 31 December 2009, 665 properties and 165 businesses had been confiscated, but not to omit none of the other regions. Approaching the Emilia-Romagna are 81 and 23 real estate companies, of which respectively 51 and 4 in one Romagna. The processing of goods served to strengthen the organized crime activities managed by Third Sector which, again, social or public interest, can surely be aimed at launching a new perspective of social development in which systems and organs of the State, on the one hand, and other social entities cooperate to help create a new culture and social welfare.
Thank you and good day

Michael
